
What are the Minimum Space Requirements for a DJ Setup in Our Venue?
We pride ourselves on having a versatile setup that can be tailored to almost any location. Whether you are hosting an intimate party at home, a celebration in a local village hall, or a grand event in a large function room, we can make it work.
1. The Equipment Footprint
For our standard professional setup, we typically require a modest space of approximately 2 x 2 metres.
Self-Contained: This area houses Tim’s Interactive DJ Touchscreen, professional sound system, and lighting rig.
Cable Safety: As a Trading Standards Approved business, we ensure all cables are tidily managed and tucked away within this footprint to prevent trip hazards.
2. The Performance & Dance Floor Area
In addition to the 2x2m equipment space, you should consider the "active" area:
Dance Floor: You will need enough clear space in front of the DJ booth for your guests (especially children) to move freely, participate in games like the Dancing Broom, and enjoy the 200 pom-pom snowball fight.
Clearance: We recommend a small "buffer zone" between the equipment and the dancers to ensure the safety of both the guests and the professional gear.
3. Adapting to Your Venue
Small Venues (Homes & Garden Marquees): We can "scale down" our lighting rig to fit into tighter corners without compromising on the party atmosphere.
Large Venues (Halls & Hotels): We can expand our sound and lighting to fill the room, ensuring the music and announcements are clear even at the back of the hall.
4. Technical Requirements
Power: We simply require access to at least two standard 13-amp domestic power sockets within a reasonable distance (ideally within 5–10 metres) of the setup area.
Safety Certification: Every piece of equipment we bring into your venue is annually PAT-tested for electrical safety, and we carry £10M Public Liability Insurance for your total peace of mind.
