As the client, you have the primary say in the musical direction of your event. We are there to bring your vision to life, and your preferences are the foundation of everything we play.
However, a successful party requires a delicate balance of planning and real-time intuition. Here is how we manage that:
1. Your Vision, Your Rules
We strictly honour the instructions you provide in your Secure Customer Portal. If you have designated "Must Play" tracks or a "Do Not Play" list, those choices are final. We will only take high-level instructions from you personally (or a designated person you specify, such as a best man or event planner) to ensure your vision isn't compromised by guest requests.
2. The DJ’s Professional Judgement
While you provide the direction, DJ Tim uses his 50 years of expertise to "read the room." This involves:
Maintaining Energy: Tim may adjust the order of your requested songs to ensure the transition between genres feels natural and keeps the dance floor full.
Atmosphere Management: If a particular style isn't connecting with your guests, Tim will use his judgment to pivot to a different "Party Starter" from your list to regain the momentum.
Expert Selection: Tim knows which tracks work as "Ice Breakers" for multi-generational crowds, ensuring both your youngest and oldest guests feel included.
3. Safety & Professional Standards
Regardless of the selection, Tim maintains final authority over the safety and appropriateness of the content. To maintain our Trading Standards Approved status, we check all tracks to the best of our ability to ensure they are clean of explicit profanity and sexually explicit lyrics. Tim also reserves the right to decline any tracks related to self-harm or suicide to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
The Result: You provide the "Soundtrack," and Tim provides the "Science" of how to play it. Together, this partnership ensures an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.
